Bayern Munich superstar Serge Gnabry has told CBS Sports that if he was to return to the Premier League at some point in the future, then a return to Arsenal would be “the favourite” move ahead of any other clubs.
Gnabry, 25, left Arsenal four years ago after managing just 18 senior appearances. His loan spell to West Brom continues to be brought up on social media, with then-Baggies boss Tony Pulis claiming he was not good enough to play for West Brom.
Now, he is shining in the red of Bayern. The 15-time Germany international won the Champions League with Bayern last season and is three games shy of 100 appearances for Bayern – in which he has scored 40 goals and created 24 more.
Speaking in an in-depth interview with CBS, Gnabry was asked if he would consider a return to English football and he did not rule it out – stating that if he was to pick one team to sign for, Arsenal would be “the favourite”.

TBR’s view – What are the realistic chances of Gnabry’s return?
Very little. Right now, Bayern are the best team in Europe and are favourites to win the Champions League trophy for a second consecutive season. Gnabry would be foolish to leave, even if it meant an emotional return to Arsenal.
However, perhaps in the next three or four years, with Arsenal looking to get back into the Champions League – Arsenal might have a chance of bringing him back. It is difficult to tell if the Gunners will ever be able to afford the wide man.
