Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier has taken to Instagram in an attempt to reach out to fans amid the club’s current struggles.
Spurs lost their third game in the space of a week at the weekend, this time at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion, a team without a win in the Premier League since the opening day.

The north Londoners arrived at the Amex Stadium on Saturday still licking their wounds after being beaten 7-2 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Things started horrifically for Tottenham, with Hugo Lloris gifting the Seagulls a goal inside three minutes.
The Frenchman sustained an awful arm injury in the process and had to be replaced by Paulo Gazzaniga.
Brighton’s Aaron Connolly then hit a brace to condemn the Lilywhites to defeat.
Taking to Instagram, full-back Aurier – who missed the game through suspension – said: “There are times when nothing smiles on you hiding and crying is not the best solution is like his life! the only thing to do is to work twice as much as you did to get results! So we are going to fight together as one man! we will get back to the top but only with the help of all our real fans who believe in us very soon.”

Aurier’s comments simply aren’t going to wash with the majority of Spurs fans, who are growing extremely frustrated with the team’s shortcomings on the pitch.

Aurier is very much in the bad books at the moment following his stupidity against Southampton and shocking display against Bayern, and is probably best off just keeping quiet and trying to knuckle down.
Posts like this only serve to wind fans up when the club is in a difficult period – actions, of course, speak much louder than words.
