‘Sensational’: Liverpool fans laud Ozan Kabak following RB Leipzig display

Liverpool ensured a safe passage through to the next round of the Champions League as they saw off RB Leipzig to win out 4-0 on aggregate.

A welcome return to the goals for Sadio Mane and Mo Salah was enough to see Jurgen Klopp’s men ensure their place the quarter finals.

The Champions League is proving a welcome relief to league form for the Reds. The performance against their German counterparts will be encouraging for Klopp and his team, who have struggled massively in recent weeks.

Klopp partnered Nat Phillips and Ozan Kabak in defence, allowing Fabinho to move back into midfield. And on social media, it was the performance of January signing Kabak that caught the eye of some Liverpool fans.

The young defender has been thrown in at the deep end but has, so far, done well enough to suggest he’s been a solid signing by Klopp and Liverpool.

Against a good Leipzig side who gave it a good go, Kabak was excellent and he won the plaudits of a number of Reds fans on Twitter.
