Liverpool are reportedly hoping to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner this summer. The German international has been consistently linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks and the Daily Star recently reported that Liverpool are looking to make a £50 million move for Werner in the summer.
Of course, Liverpool are likely to have the cash at their disposal to afford such a deal already. However, if the Reds did want to keep the books balanced, the sale of two players could easily help cover the costs of the deal.
Both Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi proved helpful members of the Liverpool team last season. However, both have been less impactful this term.

As reported by The Mirror, Liverpool could consider letting both go this summer.
A recent report from the Liverpool Echo suggested Liverpool would be looking for a fee in the region of £25 million to sell the 28-year-old Swiss star.
Origi would seemingly command a familiar fee. Back in 2018, before Origi had proved his worth as a striking option at Liverpool, the Liverpool Echo reported Liverpool were valuing the Belgian at around £27 million.
If Liverpool were to sell both players for somewhere in the region of their apparent asking prices, then they would easily have the £50 million available to them to sign Werner.
