‘Sell Pepe and bring him in’: Some Arsenal fans hail Gunners-linked winger’s weekend display

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the latest performance by Gunners-linked ace Wilfried Zaha.

The Crystal Palace winger is believed to have been on Arsenal’s radar for a fairly long time.

Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery claimed in a Guardian interview in May that the player “wanted to come” to the Emirates Stadium in 2019, though they ultimately signed Nicolas Pepe.

Earlier this month, Arsenal legend David Seaman stated that Zaha would be a great acquisition for Mikel Arteta’s side, and even claimed that the player “obviously wants to come”.

Given Zaha’s quality, it’s likely that the January transfer window will bring about more speculation linking the Ivory Coast international with potential suitors.

The 28-year-old has been in superb form this season, boasting seven goals and two assists from just 10 Premier League appearances.

Zaha was once again impressive on Sunday as he helped the Eagles claim a 1-1 draw against Tottenham, weighing in with several efforts and making some dazzling runs.
