Tottenham fans were ‘seething’ at two particular things during 1-0 Arsenal defeat

Tottenham once again came up short against Arsenal today and it’s safe to say the home fans weren’t overly impressed by proceedings.

Despite making a good start to the game and looking a threat in the final third, Tottenham never really troubled David Raya too much as the likes of Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson fluffed their lines.

As the game trundled on, it became more of a scrap and for an Arsenal defence who simply love keeping clean-sheets, it was the ideal scenario.

Of course, Tottenham fans will argue their team could have done a lot more to make Arsenal struggle.

And inside the stadium, it seemed Spurs supporters were indeed getting annoyed with their team.

Henry Winter reveals why Tottenham fans were angry inside the stadium v Arsenal

As we know, Tottenham v Arsenal is one of the most covered games in the English football calendar and experienced journalist Henry Winter was among those inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And winter, taking to social media to share what he heard from Tottenham fans, has said that the home fans were ‘seething’ over the constant sideways passing and a number of crosses that never beat the first man.

Tottenham fans have seen this all before

For all the praise Ange Postecoglou has had since taking over at Spurs, the big standout remains that they are very much still in the same boat they always find themselves in.

They are short of Arsenal, don’t seem to be able to win big games when needed, and have an inconsistency about them that makes it impossible for them to win trophies.

Of course, Tottenham fans are used to this sort of thing and it will be frustrating.

And while Arsenal fans celebrate corners because they know their team are such a threat, Spurs fans continue to chew their nails for 90 minutes.

As it stands, despite over £100m spent in the summer, Tottenham are looking ever so familiar.
