Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing Aaron Ramsdale speak about how he thrives on the atmosphere from supporters.
What’s the story?
Well, Arsenal’s new £24m man was speaking to the club’s official website after his move from Sheffield United was announced.
Interestingly, Ramsdale said that he thrives on the presence of fans, whether they’re supporting him, or even abusing him.
The 23-year-old said: “I’ve either got a stadium of home fans backing me, and then when we go away, getting a bit of abuse from their home fans, it’s that sort of banter I thrive on.”
Confident words, to say the least.
One fan referred to another remark made by Ramsdale, in which he confidently claimed that he wouldn’t be outmuscled in his box.
They felt this may have been a dig at Bernd Leno.
Other supporters admitted they’re now warming to the Englishman, after hearing him speak with such assurance following his move from the Blades.
Aaron Ramsdale will displace Bernd Leno

In our view, it won’t take long for Ramsdale to pinch Leno’s No.1 shirt.
The former Bournemouth glovesman seems to be a far more bullish shot-stopper than the German, who appears timid on the pitch.
In most sides, the man in between the sticks has to be assertive and brave in claiming crosses and throwing themselves into dangerous positions.
However, in Mikel Arteta’s side, the goalkeeper must be even braver in passing out from the back, something Leno isn’t too good at.

Time after time, we’ve seen him put Granit Xhaka and others under pressure with careless passes.
Especially amid talk of Leno wanting to leave, it surely won’t be long until Ramsdale is Arsenal’s No.1.
For now, let’s see how the Arsenal fans on Twitter reacted to his comments…
