Leeds United fans have been having their say on things this weekend, after reports suggested Newcastle United are eyeing up Victor Orta as their Director of Football.

PIF are looking to appoint the right person in the DoF role at St James’ Park. Despite having significant spending power, it is believed the new Newcastle owners want the right character in to oversee proceedings. And according to The Sun, Leeds chief Orta is among the candidates being considered.

Along with impressive Brighton man Dan Ashworth, it’s claimed Orta is among the names being considered by PIF and Newcastle for the big role. And naturally, over on social media, Leeds fans have been having their say.

Orta is a popular yet divisive figure at Elland Road. Despite being key in helping Leeds back to and remaining in the Premier League, there are some who feel he hasn’t quite got all his moves in the transfer market right.
