Liverpool may well be leading the Premier League table, but sealing one of the most exciting transfers in a decade off the field would secure the club’s spot as the Premier League’s biggest club.
German newspaper Bild claim that the Reds hold an interest for Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi and could look to rival Bayern Munich in pursuit of the forward to bolster their front line with one eye on the future.
The club are reported to have met with the 18-year-old this month as Sky Sports claim that he has rejected Chelsea’s contract offer worth £85,000 per week, having previously rejected four bids from Bayern, including one which met their £35 million asking price.
Being able to swoop for one of their closest rivals’ top assets would prove that Liverpool have grown in status, reflection by a real role reversal when Liverpool lost Fernando Torres to Chelsea for £50 million in 2011.

Still yet to make a Premier League start, Hudson-Odoi is already one of the league’s most highly rated young talents but appears unconvinced by Chelsea’s approach towards young players and promise to give him guaranteed game time.
At Anfield on the other hand, the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold have been given that trust which has seen him nail down a regular first team spot and may appeal to the forward.
Whether or not Hudson-Odoi fulfills his potential remains to be seen, but pulling off this deal would provide a major statement of intent to build a dynasty from Liverpool.
