Scottish media laud 'relentless' Arsenal star Kieran Tierney for Faroe Islands display
It’s safe to say Arsenal star Kieran Tierney turned up for Scotland last night, as the former Celtic man put in a stunning display for his nation.
Tierney helped himself to three assists as the Scots easily saw off the Faroe Islands. Along with Andy Robertson, Tierney has ensured Scotland now have one of the finest left-hand sides in football.
After impressing for Arsenal all season and becoming a firm fan favourite, Scottish media were also loving what they saw from Tierney last night, with more than one outlet lauding him.
The Scotsman gave Tierney a 9/10, commenting the following:
“Everything but the goal. Relentless running and revelled in being a cut above the opposition. Twice the supplier to McGinn.”
Edinburgh live also went down a similar route with the Arsenal man, again, opting to give Tierney a 9/10 for his efforts, saying:
“Outstanding. constantly driving forward and set up three of the four goals.”
It has to be said, it was a hugely impressive showing from Tierney. And while the Faroe Islands are never going to be the toughest of opposition, the Arsenal man sent a firm message to his manager Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal have got themselves a real player on their hands in Kieran Tierney and he continues to impress by the week.
Doing it on the international stage is always a bit of a step up but Tierney didn’t half make a statement last night. The term ‘relentless’ sums him up well, because his performance was just that.
The Gunners, and Scotland, will be hoping for more of the same from Tierney in the coming weeks and months.
