McTominay names four potential stars

The midfielder spoke about the youth coming through at Old Trafford.

“Who’s coming through the academy now who everyone should be aware of?” McTominay said.

“There’s a lot of players who train with us all time time, we have Dan Gore, Kobbie (Mainoo), Omari (Forson), Reece Bennett and people like that. For us it’s good to watch them coming through. That’s what we need and everyone who has been through the academy was once at that stage. As much as I can help, I’m here for that,” McTominay said.

The future is bright

Things may not be going all that well for United on the pitch right now, but the future may be bright.

Indeed, as McTominay says, United have a number of talented youngsters coming through right now, and one of these, Kobbie Mainoo, is already making a serious impact at first-team level.

If the other there youngsters McTominay mentions can follow a similar trajectory then United will have a seriously exciting young squad in years to come.

Of course, it’s very difficult to project a young players’ development, but if these four are already training with the first-team and impressing, it’s fair to say that they could all have something special about them.
