Scotland fans savage Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor after Belgium thrashing

Some Scotland fans have singled out Callum McGregor for criticism in the wake of the heavy defeat against Belgium. Scotland hosted Belgium and there was an outside chance of them getting a respectable result.

But Belgium ran riot instead. Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring before Thomas Vermaelen and Toby Alderweireld made it 3-0 before half-time. Kevin De Bruyne rubbed salt into the wounds with a late fourth.

McGregor has taken a hit on social media following his performance for the Scots. The 26-year-old has been in good form for Celtic yet again this season but struggled against a talented Belgian side.

Lining up against some world-class players, many Scotland players struggled to have an influence on the game. McGregor was one of those who could not dominate the game like he often does for the Bhoys.
