Scotland fans react to performance of Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack

Scotland endured another disappointing result as they lost 1-0 to Israel and missed out on promotion in the Nations League, although Rangers star Ryan Jack was once again a standout.

The Tartan Army secured a place at the European Champions last week when they defeated Serbia on penalties, ending their 24 years of hurt.

Since then, however, Steve Clarke has overseen defeats to Slovakia and now Israel to finish the international duty in dour fashion.

Scotland are on an upward curve it would seem, although the former Kilmarnock boss will be keen to ensure his charges don’t rest on their laurels.

One man who is showing no signs of doing that is Rangers star, Jack.

The central midfielder was once again Scotland’s standout performer with an impressive showing from the engine room.

It has taken the midfielder a while to impress the right people in the Scotland setup and last night was his 10th appearance.

Following the game, he was raved about by supporters across the country, with plenty valuing what he brings to the team.

His boss Steven Gerrard will have been delighted and he’ll return to Rangers with some confidence under his belt.
