Scotland fans react to performance of Aston Villa star John McGinn

Scotland secured another Nations League win last night, beating Slovakia 1-0 at Hampden Park and for John McGinn, it represented his 25th outing for the national team.

A Lyndon Dykes goal ensured the win for Steve Clarke’s men and their focus now turns towards a game against the Czech Republic on Wednesday night.

Scotland are now unbeaten in seven matches and there are certainly some positive signs developing within Clarke’s ranks.

McGinn has been a regular when fit for the Scotland boss and he looks like an integral player for the team.

Scotland fans Serbia away next month, with the winners set to pocket a place at next summer’s European Championships.

McGinn would relish the chance to pit his wits against some top players on one of international football’s grandest stages.

The 25-year-old has been a revelation since checking in at Villa Park and is very much an important player in Dean Smith’s team.

He’s scored once and registered three assists in the Premier League this season, after a frustrating campaign last season that saw him spend some time out injured.

Following his 25th cap, McGinn took to Twitter and plenty of fans wanted to congratulate him.
