Scotland fans react to Newcastle winger Ryan Fraser’s display

A number of Scotland fans took to Twitter following their win over Slovakia on Sunday to laud Ryan Fraser after the Newcastle United winger produced an impressive performance in their 1-0 victory.

Fraser was included in the starting lineup having previously come on during the latter stages of the play-off win over Israel last week.

And he vindicated Steve Clarke’s decision with a superb display. Scotland secured the three points that leave them top of their Nations League group.

Of course, the most important win of this break came against Israel. However, there is no question that Clarke’s men toiled in that game, producing a poor display.

Many felt that they were much better against Slovakia on Sunday. And some on social media put that down to Fraser’s display.

Plenty felt that the Magpies winger showed real intent to drive the home side up the pitch at Hampden Park. And several named the 26-year-old as their man of the match.

It certainly appears to be a boost for Steve Bruce’s side for Fraser to get more minutes under his belt. He is arguably showing glimpses of his best form, and that could be fantastic news for Newcastle once the Premier League campaign resumes.
