Scotland picked up a crucial win in the UEFA Nations League yesterday, turning over Albania 4-0 in Tirana. The Scots romped to victory with several brilliant performances throughout the team.
Once again, Celtic players were key to the Scottish success. James Forrest bagged two goals whilst Callum McGregor was solid in a deeper midfield role.
But once again, the man on everyone’s lips was Ryan Christie.
The 23-year-old bagged two assists in a superb playmaker display. Albania’s midfield and defence never knew when to pick him up and the result was a swashbuckling display of midfield brilliance.

It continues what has been a remarkable turnaround in form in recent weeks.
The midfielder, who was so nearly loaned out by Celtic in the summer, has been in fine form recently. With injuries in Celtic’s midfield, he has taken his chance to have an impact on the Celtic team and fans have been thoroughly impressed with his displays.
Now he has managed to force his way into the Scotland starting XI and surely he is going nowhere based on this evidence.
Such form must be commended and Celtic clearly have a top talent on their hands. Hopefully, he can hold down his starting spot for both Celtic and Scotland…
