Reported Arsenal target Abdallah Sima has been described as a “wonderful player” by Michael Laudrup.

The 19-year-old is enjoying a superb season at Slavia Prague, with 19 goals and six assists under his belt from 32 games in all competitions.

Sima, who has been compared to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, was linked with the Gunners earlier this season, as reported by Goal.com.

Earlier this month, Slovakian coach Dusan Vrto told the Talking Fitbaw podcast: “Teams like Arsenal are interested in him, Barcelona also are interested, he’s a very, very talented player.”

Vrto was speaking ahead of Slavia’s Europa League last-16 first-leg encounter with Scottish champions Rangers, which finished 1-1.

And ahead of the second leg, Gers legend Laudrup is quoted by Glasgow Live as saying: “Sima, in particular, is a wonderful player.

“He is only 19 years of age, but is very good in the air and can take players on.

“He’s quick and is scoring for fun in the Czech league. He maybe wasn’t at his best in the first leg but if he reaches top form, it’s going to be a tough night for Gerrard’s defence.”

Speaking to iSport earlier this month, Slavia president Jaroslaw Tvrdik said Sima is free to leave in the summer, but only if they receive an offer in excess of £20million.
