A number of Everton fans have reacted to Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on Toffees loanee Moise Kean.
The 20-year-old joined Everton in 2019 from Juventus for an initial fee of around £25million.
Kean’s arrival was met with much fanfare at Goodison Park given his talent and potential, but his first season at Goodison Park didn’t go to plan.
In 37 appearances for Everton, he scored just four goals, and he struggled for game time, with only six Premier League starts under his belt.
Kean swapped the Toffees for Paris Saint-Germain last October and he has been nothing short of sensational for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring 14 goals in 25 appearances.
Romano believes that Carlo Ancelotti will want to keep the Italian striker at Goodison Park beyond the end of the season.
If that’s not possible, then Everton will reportedly look for between 60m and 70m Euros (around £52million to £61million) for his services.
“I’m 100 percent sure that Everton will fight for Kean, or receive €60 or €70 million or keep the player,” Romano said on the Here We Go podcast.
“Ancelotti is a big fan of Moise Kean. In my opinion, they are planning for him as the star for next season.”
While some Everton fans would love to see the in-form marksman back in blue, they don’t feel he’ll want to come back, given how well he’s doing at PSG.
Here is some of the social media reaction to Romano’s update:
A team of Richarlison, DCL, Kean with James as the no.10 is a scintillating prospect. Can’t see Kean ever wanting to play for Everton again though.

Lol my bet is he wants nothing to do with us. Which is fine, live your life and be happy. We will take a fee and move on.

As much as I’d love to see him back next season banging in the goals I think he wants out and £70 million would be very hard to turn down.

It won’t be clear until next season, obvs no player is happy playing regularly, IF Carlo want him to stay he’ll have to give him some assurances I suppose

Not a chance he is going to want to come back, he’s playing with some of the best players in the world, and playing the best teams…

If he wants to play for Everton then clearly we would be foolish not to give him another chance! Tbf though I can’t see his heart would be in it and it might therefore be more sensible to make what profit the club can from selling him.
