A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to rejoice in the club’s latest fitness update regarding Spurs duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
Kane has been out of action since New Year’s Day, when he picked up a hamstring injury in the Premier League game against Southampton, a problem that required surgery.
Fellow Tottenham forward Son also had to go under the knife after suffering an arm fracture during the victory over Aston Villa, in which he scored twice despite the injury.
The injuries have left Tottenham severely depleted in attack, with no recognised first-team striker at Jose Mourinho’s disposal.
Spurs currently have just Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn and Dele Alli as established senior attacking players, while Ryan Sessegnon could also do a job in attack.
Academy gem Troy Parrott is also able to be called upon, though Mourinho is reluctant to do so as he doesn’t feel the teenager is ready for first-team action.
The latest Tottenham fitness update, however, seems to suggest that Kane and Son may just be able to come back towards the end of the campaign.
Son is undergoing early stages of rehabilitation following surgery, while Kane has commenced on-field rehabilitation.
“There’s a good possibility that before the end of the season, we have Harry and Sonny playing together,” Mourinho told Football London at his pre-match press conference.
Here is how some Spurs fans reacted to the update:
Very encouraging about Harry. So happy Sonny is on the road to recovery too. So sorely missed, not just for the beautiful football but his radiant smile, sunny disposition and positivity he brings to all he does. Please come back safe and well soon Sonny! 💙

I’m convinced Harry isn’t human at this point.
