Kane was one of the Premier League’s best performing players last season. The striker won both the Golden Boot and Playmaker award as the England international hit 33 goals and assisted 17 in all competitions. Spurs, however, lost the League Cup final and crashed out of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 in an embarrassing fashion to Dinamo Zagreb.

And some City fans were not happy with this latest update. A few supporters believe this deal could lead to the club signing an unfancied striker later on in the window.

As well as Kane, the likes of Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez have been linked with City this summer. Pep Guardiola’s side currently only have just Gabriel Jesus as the club’s sole natural striker.
