‘Scammed us for a new contract’: Arsenal fans react as David Raya signs new Brentford deal’

Arsenal fans have been reacting on Twitter today to the news that reported target, David Raya, has signed a new deal with Brentford.

The former Blackburn stopper was said to be a target for the Gunners after they sold Emi Martinez to Aston Villa a few weeks ago.

However, the Spaniard appears to have put any talk of a switch to The Emirates to bed, by penning a new deal with the Bees to keep him with the Championship outfit until 2024.

It’s another blow in the transfer market for the Gunners, although they did sign Runar Alex Runarsson as cover for Bernd Leno.

But that hasn’t stopped a number of Arsenal supporters taking to social media to have their say on Raya. And it appears it’s a mix of disbelief and surprise from some Gunners fans on Twitter.
