'Saying I should go to Leeds': Liverpool player reacts after what he's seen circulating online
Liverpool’s Rhys Williams admits that he has seen jokes online suggesting that he should join Leeds United on UMM.
Leeds link?
A few observers have seen a similarity in the appearance of Williams and Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
And although the Liverpool defender doesn’t agree with those claims himself, he has seen some jokes that he would fit in well at Elland Road circulating online.

“There’s another meme knocking about saying I should go to Leeds because of my haircut,” the Liverpool central defender laughed.
“I wouldn’t say I’m his brother, I don’t think I look anything like him. But there’s a lot of man buns at Leeds, so that’s the only thing I can get from that.”
Where next?
Williams’s future at Liverpool actually looks fairly uncertain this summer, although it would be highly unlikely that he joins Leeds – despite the trim!
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have a strong collection of central defenders and look well stocked in the department.
Liverpool are more likely to be keen to send Williams out on loan somewhere where he can get game time.
The teenager stepped up well when an injury crisis hit at Anfield last term, and played a key role in helping Jurgen Klopp’s side claim a Champions League place.
But with Ibrahima Konate joining and Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip all back fit it seems unlikely that he will be given much game time if he does stick around at Liverpool this year.
