Glasgow Rangers academy star Ross McCrorie has impressed away from Ibrox on loan over the past year.
The 22-year-old joined English League One side Portsmouth last summer and has made 22 appearances for them in all competitions.
McCrorie’s efforts helped Pompey up to fifth in the table by the time football in the nation was suspended due to the global health crisis.

While the regular English third-tier season has now been declared, the playoffs will take place next month, with Portsmouth taking on Oxford over two legs.
On Monday, Pompey extended the Rangers starlet’s loan deal, so he – along with Cameron McGeehan and Steve Seddon – will be available to compete in the playoffs.
The news went down well with the English club’s fans and some took to social media to give their thoughts:
McCrorie came through the ranks at Rangers alongside twin brother Robby and has made 55 competitive appearances at senior level for the Ibrox side.
Shortly after the Rangers talent made his loan switch last summer, rumours emerged claiming there was a permanent option included in the deal.
Steven Gerrard was quick to shoot down such talk in the press, as detailed by The Scottish Sun, making it clear that Rangers had a long-term plan for McCrorie at Ibrox.
“There’s no deal for him to go there permanently,” he said. “It’s a development loan to improve him because he’s our player and we want him here for a long time. We want to try and help him get to the next level.
“Hopefully he’ll come back with 40/50 games under his belt, a better player ready to challenge the lads that have got the shirts. But he’s certainly one of ours and we’ve got big plans for Ross McCrorie.”
