Ever since the day Ange Postecoglou arrived at Tottenham, Chris Sutton has been one of his biggest fans.
The pundit has gone out to bat for Postecoglou more times than Joe Root has for England.
As a Celtic fan, Sutton has a real soft spot for Postecoglou, and he’ll defend him to the hilt if he has to.
Speaking on BBC 606, Sutton got into a bit of an argument with Robbie Savage about Postecoglou as the two pundits were discussing their Manager of the Season contenders.
Savage made the case for Rob Edwards, claiming that keeping Luton up is a bigger achievement than playing pretty football with Tottenham in fifth-place.
Sutton, as you can imagine, was far from happy with this suggestion, and he had a dig at Savage for patronising the Spurs manager.

Chris Sutton not happy with Robbie Savage’s Ange Postecoglou comments
The two pundits had a bit of a spat over this situation.
“So Chris, Luton Town if they stay up under Rob Edwards is an incredible achievement, what’s better Rob Edwards keeping Luton up or Big Ange changing the way Spurs play, getting the ‘well done’ trophy and finishing fifth,” Savage said.
“Serious point, why are you patronising Ange Postecoglou? Would you say it to his face? Would you say well done for winning the well played trophy would you? No you wouldn’t. You have such a lack of understanding of the game, no wonder you’re still working at non-league level,” Sutton said.
Both have a point
This is a very interesting debate because both men have a point here.
Postecoglou has made Spurs so much better on the pitch, that can’t be questioned, but, at the same time, Spurs are only fifth in the league, and that’s not really an improvement on what Antonio Conte or Jose Mourinho were doing.
At the end of the day, football is a results business, and while Postecoglou has Tottenham moving in the right direction, he’s not actually brought all that much success to Spurs yet.
In terms of the Manager of the Season race, perhaps someone like Rob Edwards is closer to achieving his goals this season than Postecoglou is.
