Aston Villa fans were once again thankful for Tammy Abraham as they picked up a 2-1 win over Ipswich Town.
Against bottom of the league Ipswich, Aston Villa managed to earn the three points thanks to an Abraham brace.
The young striker, on loan from Chelsea, took his tally to 19 goals for the season with a header and a penalty to give the Villans a 2-0 lead.
Freddie Sears’ strike ensured Aston Villa had a nervy end to this match but they held out for a narrow victory.
Abraham is the outright top scorer in the Championship. His 19 goals place him one ahead of Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp in the race for the golden boot.

And the 21-year-old continued his remarkable record of scoring at Villa Park.
He has now netted in seven consecutive home matches for Aston Villa with a stunning 12 goals in that time.
Aston Villa’s victory over Ipswich saw them rise to 10th and cut the gap to four points off the play-offs. It also ended a torrid run of form as Aston Villa won at home for the first time since November.
