Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier is wanted by Maurizio Sarri if he becomes the new manager of Juventus, according to the Daily Star.
They report that the Italian is expected to take over at the Italian champions after a season in which he delivered the Europa League trophy and the return of Champions League football to Stamford Bridge – but failed to win over the fans conclusively.
And Trippier is apparently in line to make the same switch from London to Turin on a £35 million deal, after enduring a poor 2018/19 campaign.
They report that Mauricio Pochettino has already started planning for life without the £65,000 a week (Spotrac) England international, and has lined up Nice’s Yousef Atal to replace him.

But Sarri was present for perhaps the nadir of Trippier’s season, a shocking own goal at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea ran out 2-0 winners over Spurs in February.
As it turned out, that result proved the difference between Chelsea and Spurs in the chase for third and summed up how slack Trippier had become – following on from his 2018 World Cup heroics.
So Tottenham are lucky that Sarri is still so keen on Trippier after seeing his awful form up close and should take the £35 million and run – securing an upgrade ahead of a renewed assault on silverware next season.
