Jack Grealish produced another sparkling display on Monday night as Aston Villa came from behind to nab a point at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea – and Sanchez Watt has urged Arsenal to splash out and sign the £100million-rated midfielder.
Grealish, 25, has been in stunning form for Dean Smith’s men this season – having a hand in 13 goals during his 14 Premier League matches, playing every single minute of his side’s league campaign. He has scored five and created eight so far.
The Telegraph claim Villa value Grealish at a whopping £100million as he continues to shine for both club and country. He has now surpassed 200 appearances for his boyhood club, having a hand in creating and scoring 70 goals during that time.
Ex-Arsenal man Watt has urged Arsenal to spend big and meet Villa’s asking price for Grealish following his performance on Monday, urging his old club to build the Gunners side around Grealish – after being asked by an Arsenal supporter.
TBR’s view – Grealish would be the perfect signing for Arsenal
Putting aside the fact that Grealish is valued at an enormous nine-figure fee, Arsenal need a number 10 with Mesut Ozil ostracised and seemingly having played his final game for the Gunners. Houssem Aouar continues to be linked.
Dominik Szoboszlai was linked but looks set to join RB Leipzig from Salzburg, and even if Arsenal did sign him, he would not be an instant starter. Arsenal need a number 10 that can shine from moment one, and Grealish is that.
But for any club to spend £100million on Grealish is unlikely, let alone an Arsenal side that are faltering and lacking in Champions League football. Grealish is much more likely to join a Manchester City, or simply stay at Aston Villa.
