Samuel Umtiti has reacted on Instagram after watching Alexandre Lacazette take his tally to 15 goals for the current campaign, as Arsenal beat Sheffield United 3-0 away from home at Bramall Lane – with the Frenchman getting two.
Lacazette, 29, has been in somewhat indifferent form for Arsenal of late but now has four goals in his last three Premier League games. The Gunners cruised to all three points with Sheffield United struggling to cope.
The nearly-relegated Blades were put under immediate pressure by the likes of Bukayo Saka, Dani Ceballos, Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe – as Mikel Arteta named a side that was without many players through injury.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is unwell, while David Luiz, Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith-Rowe and Kieran Tierney all missed out. Saka also hobbled off towards the end, as Lacazette made it 50 Premier League goals for Arsenal.
He opened his scoring after a beautiful flowing move, touching and then finishing superbly. He got his second after a lovely pass from Thomas Partey put him through on goal – Martinelli tapping in an in effort in between the goals.
Umtiti, Lacazette’s former teammate at Lyon and now at Barcelona, was full of praise for Arsenal’s number nine and captain for the night. He commented on his Instagram post (above) with a four-word verdict.
His comment is translated as: “I like, I like.”
