Villarreal star Samuel Chukwueze has played a straight bat to rumours which suggest that he could sign for Liverpool during the transfer window, according to Score Nigeria, as quoted by Marca.
The 20-year-old sensation has a £52 million release clause and Goal recently linked the winger with a switch to Anfield.
Chukwueze enjoyed a decent campaign playing senior football for Villarreal. He netted eight goals and claimed three assists during a breakthrough campaign.
He isn’t really focused on moving clubs however and remains philosophical regarding his future.

The Nigerian international told Score Nigeria, as quoted by Marca: “I am aware that there are several interested teams, but I am still a Villarreal player and there is nothing concrete.
“It’s good that I am linked to great clubs because that shows that hard work has its reward. I don’t want to rush to go to another club. If I ever had to leave though, I should make sure I go to a club where I’m going to play.”
TBR Verdict
The key takeaway from these comments from a Liverpool perspective is that Chukwueze wants to play football.
There is a reason to suggest that if he does sign for the Reds he will be forced into acting as a deputy to either Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino or Sadio Mane.

At 20 there is lots of scope for Chukwueze to improve. If Liverpool are adamant they want to sign him this summer, one option could be to secure the £52 million deal and then loan him back out.
That would allow him to play the football that he craves and see the Reds get him tied down ahead of his best years.
