Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira has opened the door to a potential move to the Premier League, and praised Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The German star is out of favour at the Italian giants, not featuring for the club since Andrea Pirlo took over as head coach.

Khedira has been with Juve since 2015 after moving from Real Madrid, and has clocked up 145 appearances for the Old Lady.

It appears Khedira won’t be at the club too much longer, and the 33-year-old has declared his openness to moving to England.

He told Sky Germany: “If it is possible it will for sure be a really big dream [come true] and honour to be a part of the Premier League.”

Interestingly, Khedira then spoke on two current Premier League managers, Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho, who he says is the best coach he’s ever played under.

On Ancelotti though, Khedira said: “There are many coaches, even in the Premier League that I respect a lot. (Carlo) Ancelotti is doing a great job at the moment and is a great personality. He is one of the coaches who impressed me also.”

TBR View – Ancelotti should not be tempted

Ancelotti will probably enjoy Khedira’s comments, but the Italian should not be looking to grant the player’s wish of a move to the Premier League.

Whether that is what Khedira is angling for or not, Everton don’t need to bring in a player who is way past his prime now.

He was a brilliant player a few years back, and has had a great career in which he’s won 17 titles across three clubs and amassed 77 caps for Germany.

But the Toffees have some great midfield options including newbies Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure, and should steer clear.
