Sam Allardyce has backed Everton to break into the top six of the Premier League this season.
The Toffees have made a decent start to the new campaign and manager Marco Silva will be looking to make a real impact during his second year at Goodison Park.
His team have seven points from their opening four league games, as well as beating Lincoln City in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
Everton managed a 3-2 home victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend just before the international break and it was arguably their most impressive performance to date.
They are beginning to find real success with summer recruits such as Fabian Delph, Alex Iwboi and Moise Kean.
Ex-Everton manager Allardyce believes that his former side can gatecrash the top six spots.
“Certainly Everton with the spending power that they have had over the last few years and the players they have bought… I’d expect Everton to break into the top six,” Allardyce told talkSPORT.

TBR’s View:
Everton have not finished in the top six places since they finished fifth in the 2013/14 campaign and they are in the hunting back trying to chase down the elite clubs.
The Toffees alongside Leicester City look the most equipped so far this season to give the big guns a run for their money, but it’s about being consistent over the course of the season.
With Chelsea and Manchester United turning to youth, it looks they may be vulnerable and it’s up to Everton to seize on any chance.
Silva does have a talented group of players at his disposal and it looks like home form at Goodison Park should be strong, but they need to improve on the road if they want to bring European football back.
