Salomon Rondon and Kemar Roofe could be Newcastle's dream striker partnership
Newcastle United are keen on Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe, according to a recent report by The Mirror.
With Newcastle struggling in front of goal, Roofe could be a solution up front.
Roofe has been in the form of his life at Leeds with his tally of 13 goals in 19 league games helping his side reach the top of the Championship table.
Leeds will be desperate to keep the 25-year-old, who is integral to their promotion hopes.
But Newcastle could offer him an immediate jump to the Premier League, where he could partner Salomon Rondon.
The Venezuela international is on loan from West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle seem keen to make this move permanent.

Looking to the long-term future, a partnership between Rondon and Roofe could work well considering their varying styles.
With Rondon dominant in the air and able to hold the ball up, he could provide chances for Roofe, who is more of a natural finisher.
But both of these deals are completely contingent on any takeover breakthrough.
The Mirror has also reported that a takeover is unlikely now, which would all but end Newcastle’s hopes of landing Roofe this January.
It could also affect their chances of landing Rondon on a permanent move.
But if a takeover does go ahead, Rafa Benitez will be eyeing these two as his dream partnership to propel Newcastle up the league table.
