Allan Saint-Maximin has delivered a hilarious two-word instant response to Newcastle United completing a permanent deal on Friday to sign Joe Willock from Arsenal.
Willock, 21, spent the second half of last season on loan with Newcastle. He became an instant favourite after scoring eight goals in 14 appearances for the Toon.
The Magpies have now confirmed that the English youngster has moved to St James’ Park on a permanent basis. Also, he’s available for the club’s first game of the Premier League this season at home to West Ham.
He’s taken the brave decision to leave boyhood club Arsenal, but he’s joining a team where he was starting regularly. The box-to-box central midfielder found himself slot perfectly into the Newcastle XI last season.
Magpies boss Steve Bruce allowed him a freedom to get forward, so it’s great they’ve got such a goalscoring threat back in their team.
Newcastle attacker Saint-Maximin is one of the first to react to the Friday signing on his Instagram story and he wrote “my love”.
There is clearly a big bromance between the duo and fans can look forward to their combination on the pitch really flourishing.
