Speculation over Mane’s future has increased in recent weeks with differing reports claiming that Bayern Munich are the main contender to sign the Senegal star. And taking to his Twitter account just now, Romano has indeed confirmed that Mane has decided to leave.

Mane has been a key player for Liverpool ever since signing from Southampton. However, there seems to have been some frustration creeping in and the signing of Luis Diaz has also put pressure on Mane. Indeed, he’s had to play as a number nine recently, with Diaz and Salah playing wide.

Should Mane leave, it will no doubt open the door for Jurgen Klopp to make a new signing. Diaz has been outstanding, but Klopp will want the depth in his squad replenishing.

TBR’s View: Sadio Mane Leaving Liverpool May Be The Right Call

And this could be all around. Liverpool need money to try and tie Salah down while Mane has definitely been a frustrated figure at times this season.

He’ll have wanted to round out the season by winning the Champions League but ultimately, it wasn’t meant to be and Mane was quite poor on the night as well.

Mane will leave a Liverpool legend, of course. And if it is Bayern he does go to, then the Germans are getting a world-class player added to their squad.
