Ryan Sessegnon has told The Evening Standard that he is desperate to return to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer and break into Jose Mourinho’s side – as he continues to impress while on loan with Bundesliga side Hoffenheim on loan.
Sessegnon, 20, is currently injured but has impressed in his 16 league and cup appearances with Hoffenheim – having a hand in four goals despite predominantly playing from the left side of the German club’s defence, or as a wing back.
He has missed the last six Bundesliga matches with an injury but will be looking to shine when the Europa League returns next week, after Hoffenheim qualified for the knockout rounds with five wins from six in the group stages.
Sessegnon is on loan until the end of the season and is shining for Hoffenheim, already eclipsing the 12 appearances he made for Tottenham last term. The left-footed ace has spoke about his desire to return to Spurs and come good under Mourinho.

“My aim is to go back to Spurs and try to break into that team and play and make myself a figure in the team. But if that’s not going to be possible next season, of course I want to go back to a league or a club to regain that experience,” Sessegnon said.
Spurs currently have numerous options on the left wing with Son Heung-min easily first choice and not going anywhere. Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn and Gareth Bale are also options. But at left-back, he has a chance.
Ben Davies has been steady while Sergio Reguilon is currently injured. So, Sessegnon has a chance of breaking into the side on the left side of the defence, and Spurs fans have responded on Twitter to the £25million (Standard) signing’s comments.
