Ryan Sessegnon has told Tottenham Hotspur’s official website that he is not happy with his current performances and believes he needs to be putting more dangerous deliveries into the box.
The 19-year-old has started Tottenham’s last two Premier League matches under Jose Mourinho, helping the north Londoners beat Brighton 2-1 before lasting the entire 90 minutes against Norwich City on Saturday evening.
Given his age, injuries and pressure on his shoulders following a £25million (BBC) price tag, Sessegnon would be forgiven for feeling delighted at breaking into the side. But the England Under-21 cap is not as joyous as you would expect.
Indeed, the former Fulham star believes he needs to be much more dangerous in the final third with his crossing, and stated that it is something he is going to work on going forward.
“I was okay,” Sessegnon said. “I’ve still got a lot to deliver to this team and step by step, with more games, fitness, I’ll get there. I just want to get forward and get more crosses into the box. In the last two games I haven’t put decent, threatening crosses in, so that’s something I’ll be working on for the next game.”

TBR’s view – Sessegnon is right, if he wants regular starting berth
With Son Heung-min suspended, Sessegnon has come into the side but when Son returns from his ban then it is likely to see Sessegnon drop to the bench. If he is to earn a starting berth, his crossing and attacking play must improve.
That is no slight on Sessegnon, who has looked dangerous when used. But the quality of Son, Lucas Moura and Dele Alli means that it is very difficult to break into that attacking midfield trio. Sessegnon has plenty to improve on, if he wants that.
