Rangers winger Ryan Kent has been hit with a violent conduct charge for his bust-up with Celtic captain Scott Brown, as reported by The Scotsman.
The 22-year-old on loan from Liverpool struck Brown in the aftermath of James Forrest’s winning goal, which was missed by the referee Bobby Madden.

TBR’s view
With Kent staring down the barrel of a ban, it is a golden chance for Middleton to work his way back into Steven Gerrard’s plans.
It would appear the Liverpool legend is trying to protect Middleton and his development by keeping him away from the first-team, just like Nikola Katic.

But it might be time, with Kent’s suspension imminent, for him to come back into the fold.
Middleton has made 27 appearances for the first-team this season and Rangers have no silverware left to play for – it would make sense for Gerrard to use this moment to bring the talented youngster back.
