Rangers recorded a memorable 1-0 win at home to Celtic on Saturday afternoon and were by far the superior team at Ibrox.
Steven Gerrard’s team earned the victory to move level on points with leaders Celtic in the league and it was the perfect ending to 2018 for the Gers.
The Light Blues dominated the game for large spells and they netted their winner in the first-half through midfielder Ryan Jack, who saw his shot go through Scott Brown’s legs after some smart play from teammate Ryan Kent in the box.
Rangers had a number of quality performers throughout, but it was an Old Firm masterclass from goalscorer Jack.
The 26-year-old midfielder is not in the team for his attacking work and his winner was in fact his first goal for the Gers since his arrival from Aberdeen in 2017.

He’s a no-nonsense Scottish enforcer that does the dirty work in the centre of the park and he was at his best in that regard too on Saturday.
Rangers’ trio of midfielders dominated the centre of the park against their Celtic counterparts and Jack was at the heart of the battle.
He was fierce in the tackle and demonstrated exactly the right attitude needed for a game against bitter rivals, as he covered every blade of grass on the pitch.
There is no doubt that Rangers are going to need to continue improving and strengthening moving forward, but Saturday was the perfect indication needed to show it’s not a million miles away.
Jack can definitely be a cornerstone of the midfield in front of the back four if he can replicate his weekend’s display in the big fixtures.
