Liverpool duo Ryan Gravenberch and Jayden Danns have been impressed by one of the Reds’ summer signings following his outing against Atletico Madrid at Anfield.

Liverpool raced into a two-goal lead by the six-minute mark of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash thanks to goals from Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Salah.

And though Marcos Llorente scored a brace to put the visitors on course for a draw, Virgil van Dijk popped up with an injury-time header from Dominik Szoboszlai’s corner.

Plenty of Liverpool players impressed on the night, and Ryan Gravenberch and Jayden Danns seemed especially impressed by how Jeremie Frimpong played.

Ryan Gravenberch and Jayden Danns suggest Jeremie Frimpong’s display was ‘fire’

Frimpong has endured a difficult start to his Liverpool career due to injuries, but on Wednesday night, he truly announced himself on the scene.

The £29.5million man was lively throughout, had a great penalty shout waved away, and also did well in terms of defensive duties.

Frimpong took to Instagram on Thursday with a message saying “great to start with a win and get more minutes in the legs.”
