Celtic reached the Scottish Cup Final on Sunday with a 3-0 demolition of Aberdeen at Hampden Park.

Goals from James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard and Tom Rogic secured a safe passage against the Dons.

Derek McInnes’ side finished with nine men after Dominic Ball and Lewis Ferguson saw red. The Aberdeen boss was also dismissed late on.

Ball’s red card came following a ferocious aerial challenge with Ryan Christie. The Hoops attacking midfielder was stretched from the field following the collision.

He has since taken to social media to offer his congratulations to his team-mates, whilst posting a gruesome picture of his injury.

The below tweet shows the image plus the thoughts of a Celtic fan keen to offer his sympathy:

The 24-year-old has been in great form this season. He has 11 goals and nine assists to his name for the Hoops.

He could now be missing for a few games, although a timescale for recovery is not clear at this stage.
