Aston Villa suffered late heart-break yesterday but one of their young players was having a day to remember out on loan.
Whilst Dean Smith’s senior side was conceding two late goals in defeat to title-chasing Liverpool, League One side Tranmere Rovers were pushing aside MK Dons with a 3-1 triumph in Milton Keynes.
Only one man bagged the goals for the Birkenhead club, Aston Villa loanee Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.
The 21-year-old ended his goal drought in some style as he netted a hat-trick for the travelling side.

His three goals ended a 10-game barren streak since joining the club. His season-long loan at Prenton Park started disastrously on his debut when he received a red card so this will hopefully prove a major turning point for the young striker.
Hepburn-Murphy is a player Aston Villa fans have known of for some time, ever since Tim Sherwood handed him a Premier League debut back in March 2015 aged 16.
But he has struggled to turn that into anything substantial since. Hopefully, this hat-trick is the catalyst he needs to finally prove himself worthy of another chance at Aston Villa.
