'Ruben Neves it is': Some Arsenal fans rage as club accept offer for reported target from UCL side

Arsenal have reportedly missed out on the signing of Manuel Locatelli to Serie A giants Juventus.

According to Tuttosport, the Italian midfielder will join the Old Lady on loan with an obligation to buy. As per the report, Juventus will send 19-year-old defender Radu Dragusin to Sassuolo as part of the deal.

Arsenal have been eager to sign Locatelli for most of the window. Furthermore, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners were willing to meet Sassuolo’s €40m (£32m) asking price for the midfielder.

However, Locatelli’s heart has always been set on a move to Juventus. Moreover, the UEFA Champions League club have now come in with an offer that suits Sassuolo.

Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say about the latest update in the Locatelli and Juventus saga on Twitter…

Indeed, Arsenal have already signed one central midfielder this summer in the form of R.S.C. Anderlecht youngster Albert Sambi Lokonga.

However, with Granit Xhaka set to leave north London in the coming weeks, a second midfielder will likely to be brought in this window.
