Ruben Loftus-Cheek would be ideal Jack Wilshere replacement at West Ham
West Ham are reportedly in the hunt to try land Chelsea’s colossus midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in January on loan.
According to the Sun, the Hammers and Bournemouth will fight to sign the 22-year-old on a temporary basis with a view to a permanent deal.
It is understood that Chelsea could block any approaches for their England international despite his struggles for minutes, but West Ham hope to try convince him of a move across London.
West Ham’s need to sign 6ft 3in powerhouse Loftus-Cheek is now greater than ever, as they could reportedly have a real problem with midfielder Jack Wilshere.
According to the Sun, 26-year-old Wilshere could miss the rest of the season with an ankle problem despite only just returning from an injury.

West Ham fans are waiting for official news on the severity of Wilshere’s setback, but he’s played just five times this campaign since his arrival in the summer and does leave a gap in the midfield.
Loftus-Cheek is a creative midfielder that would light up the London Stadium and has unbelievable potential.
He’s scored six goals in just 13 appearances across all competitions this season for Chelsea and been a real force in the Europa League, but opportunities have been hard to come by in the Premier League.
