West Ham United were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Monday night.
It was the Hammers’ second consecutive 2-0 defeat after they lost by the same scoreline at home to Everton the week before.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side appear to be stuttering at the wrong time, with teams like the Toffees, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City all fighting it out to finish seventh.
Against the Blues West Ham lost the midfield battle with Declan Rice and Mark Noble having fared poorly against N’Golo Kante and Jorginho.
Another man who starred for Chelsea was Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who was starting for the second game in a row under Maurizio Sarri.
TBR’s view
The Mirror reported that Loftus-Cheek was being chased by West Ham, who wanted the England international on loan for the rest of the reason.
The Irons have had little depth in midfield for most of the season after Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez both picked up bad injuries early on.

Loftus-Cheek, scorer of eight goals in all competitions this season, would have been a brilliant acquisition for the London Stadium outfit, who were subjected to his talents first-hand on Monday night.
For whatever reason West Ham couldn’t seal a deal for Loftus-Cheek and he certainly showed them what they are missing with his positive performance at the Bridge.
