Roy Keane has told Sky Sports (broadcast on 29/11; 18:35) that Joe Rodon looks to have a bright future ahead of him after the defender made his full Tottenham Hotspur debut on Sunday.
Rodon came into the side with Toby Alderweireld coming off injured during the win over Manchester City. And it looked set to be a fairly daunting task for the Wales international.

Chelsea, of course, boast some incredibly exciting attacking players. They had scored 18 goals in their last six games in all competitions.
It was not a flawless performance from the youngster. He made a couple of errors that presented chances to the home side. However, Keane felt that it was a display that the 23-year-old could be extremely proud of.

“Yeah he did very, very well,” he told Sky Sports. “He spoke well after the game. He got lucky. He gave away one or two opportunities, particularly at the end. Giroud should certainly do better. But a good debut for him, and he spoke well.
“It looks like he’s got a bright future ahead of him. It’s a tough place to go for him for his debut, got a busted lip for his troubles as well. But yeah, did really well. Nice composure, nice body language, looked composed out there.”
It should certainly stand Rodon in very good stead that his two of his first appearances for Spurs came against Manchester City and Chelsea.
Tottenham ultimately kept clean sheets in both games. And Rodon did not look at all out of place alongside Eric Dier – who has formed a fantastic partnership with Alderweireld in recent weeks.
It was certainly the kind of performance that hints that Rodon can make a positive impact while the Belgian is sidelined.
And as Keane notes, the early signs suggest that the centre-back has a lot of potential.
