Rotherham United boss Paul Warne has certainly found the funny side of recent links between one of his players and Leeds United.
Rumours were swirling on Twitter that versatile midfielder Semi Ajayi had been spotted undergoing a medical at Thorp Arch, ahead of a move to Leeds United.

The rumours were quickly torpedoed. Rotherham Advertiser journalist Paul Davis sent out this tweet confirming he was parked next to him at Rotherham training, around the time he was supposedly doing his Leeds medical.
The Sheffield Star went on to confirm that the rumours were false.
Now, speaking to the Rotherham Advertiser, the Millers’ boss Warne has confirmed he found the funny side of the news and expects Ajayi to be at Rotherham next season.
“I do appreciate that people will be interested in him. So they should be…
“I did enjoy reading all the false stuff on Twitter that my son sent me about Semi being at the Leeds United training ground for a medical. It just shows the power of social media.
“He’s looking great in pre-season in midfield. He’s not knocking on my door to say he’s desperate to get out. I’m not aware of anything.”
For Leeds fans it was likely a disappointment. The ‘sighting’ of Ajayi doing a medical came in the immediate aftermath of Pontus Jansson’s departure. Considering his ability to play at centre-back, many will have felt Leeds had found their replacement.
But, for now at least, it seems that Ajayi to Leeds remains the result of another phantom sighting at Thorp Arch.
