Leeds United are said to be interested in Motherwell’s young winger Stuart McKinstry. The 16-year-old talent recently made the Motherwell first-team squad for the first time and is highly rated by the Fir Park club.
Leeds, according to the Scottish Sun, are hoping to land the player in a £400,000 deal this week.
Of course, Motherwell will be hoping to keep hold of the player. But, considering the plans they have in the transfer window, a sale could be likely. That’s because Motherwell want a former Leeds player to head back to the club.

Ross McCormack is wanted by the Scottish side. Financially, putting a deal together is going to be difficult, but the player is reportedly keen.
Selling McKinstry could give Motherwell the funds they need to make a deal happen.
Aston Villa, according to the Sun, are willing to pay the bulk of his wages, so a loan fee is all Motherwell need to find for his arrival.
Losing the talented winger to bring in a proven goalscorer is a risk from Motherwell but it could be to the benefit of Leeds.
McCormack, a former captain at Elland Road, may have left Leeds back in 2014 but it appears he could now help the club snap up a talented teenager.
