Last summer, plenty of Leeds United fans were left disappointed as the club sold one of their top young talents. Ronaldo Vieira left the club in what something of a shock move.
The England youth star left Leeds for Italian football, joining Sampdoria. The Genoa-based club paid an initial fee reported by The Guardian to be in the region of £6.2 million for his services.
The deal was done as Leeds looked to fund a move for a new striker. Vieira, was deemed the most dispensable of Leeds’ top assets and became the sacrificial lamb.

It has been a tough but rewarding first season in Italy for the player. After struggling to get in the first-team he played more regularly after the turn of the year. In the end, Vieira featured 15 times for the club and the 20-year-old will look to build on that next season.
However, it appears that may be at another Italian club. Not just any Italian club, but one of the biggest.
AC Milan could be his next destination. As reported in the print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, as relayed by Calciomercato, Vieira could head to the San Siro this summer. He could reportedly follow his coach Marco Giampaolo, who is the new favourite to take over from Gennaro Gattuso at the Rossoneri.
It would undoubtedly be an exciting move for the player, but one which might come too soon into his Italian adventure.
Regardless, Leeds fans will wish him well whatever happens this summer.
