Ronaldo Vieira and Uwe Rosler send Instagram messages to Leeds star, after Leicester City draw

Adam Forshaw started his first league game for Leeds in over two years on Sunday – and Uwe Rosler and Ronaldo Vieira have reacted on Instagram.

Forshaw, 30, last started for Leeds in the league back in September 2019. A Championship match against Charlton Athletic, the year Leeds went up.

Since then, the ex-Middlesbrough and Everton midfielder has endured a nightmare spell on the sidelines with a long-term hip injury.

He only made his comeback towards the end of last season, 18 months after the initial problem, playing for the club’s Under-23 side.

Leeds have dealt with Forshaw well, giving him plenty of time. He has been used in the Carabao Cup this term, and as a sub in the Premier League.

Despite Mateusz Klich being fit, Forshaw was handed a start against Leicester alongside Kalvin Phillips. He was excellent, lasting 87 minutes.

It was a momentous day for Forshaw. His wife posted a picture, highlighting that his son watched him at Elland Road for the first time.

That is how long his injury has kept him on the sidelines. But throughout, Forshaw has kept himself incredibly fit – putting in the work off the pitch.

Little surprise, then, that Forshaw was excellent when given the chance – perfectly balancing the midfield alongside Phillips. He was busy, all game.

Plenty applauded Forshaw on Instagram. Numerous current teammates, former teammates and notably, Vieira and Rosler.
