Everton are one of three Premier League teams being linked with a move for Dutch international Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld. The Daily Mail reports that AC Milan have already had a £9 million bid for the player rejected and that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen.
Everton would now doubt relish his arrival. The club needs to strengthen the wide areas and Groeneveld can play from the left or right. A natural finisher as well, he could be a brilliant recruit from the Toffees.
There is certainly one former Everton manager who is a big fan of the player.
Ronald Koeman was not immensely popular by the end of his Everton reign. After a good first season in charge Everton plummeted in his second spell and fans were calling for his head when he eventually left Goodison Park.

Now he is in charge of his nation, The Netherlands, and gave Groeneveld his debut in October.
Koeman threw the youngster into the action during a 3-0 win over Germany. Three days later, Koeman started him for the first time against Belgium. Groeneveld scored in a 1-1 draw.
Koeman has not been able to select him since because of an ankle injury but is clearly a big fan of the player.
Everton will not hold that against him if they manage to bring him to Goodison Park, but you have to wonder what Koeman might say to the player if his advice is sought?
